How to Choose a Neighborhood in Malaga
Malaga is compact — most neighborhoods are within 20 minutes of the center by bus. The main variables to consider: distance to your workplace, proximity to the beach, noise level, and budget.

Vibe: Chill, residential, beach-adjacent
These fishing villages east of the center have retained their character despite gentrification. The chiringuito beach scene is unbeatable, the seafront promenade is lovely, and the vibe is distinctly local rather than touristy. Many Polish families have settled here.
